These Genotek systems combine an architectural aluminium expansion joint cover with a fire barrier installed in the joint below it: InsuRope fire rope, FireMaster or a fire blanket. The range includes 31 systems, handling thermal, seismic and settlement movement in floors and walls. The barrier for each joint is shown on the system’s drawings and installation instructions.
A fire barrier is needed wherever an expansion joint crosses a fire-rated floor slab or compartment wall - hospital corridors, hotel corridors, stadium concourses, mall service zones and car-park slabs. Genotek supplies the cover, the fire barrier (InsuRope, FireMaster or fire blanket) and the fixing accessories as one package, with datasheets and drawings for consultant review.
