Fire rated expansion joint covers with integrated fire barriers
Genotek fire rated expansion joint covers combine an architectural aluminium cover profile with an integrated fire barrier, so a single assembly closes the joint gap and maintains the fire compartment line. The range includes 24 systems for joint gaps from 15 mm to 500 mm, handling thermal, seismic and settlement movement in floors and walls. Fire barriers are supplied to match the required rating of the adjoining construction.
Fire rated joints are required wherever an expansion joint crosses a fire-rated floor slab or compartment wall - hospital corridors, hotel corridors, stadium concourses, mall service zones and car-park slabs. Genotek supplies the cover, barrier and fixing accessories as one package with supporting documentation for consultant approval.
