Drywall cracks at movement joints before anywhere else - the board is rigid, the structure is not. The Genotek drywall range includes 13 cover systems for joint gaps from 10 mm to 450 mm, designed to build into gypsum wall and ceiling systems and finish flush with the board face. Slim aluminium profiles bed behind or between boards with paintable flanges, so the finished joint reads as a crisp shadow gap rather than an applied strip.
Movement coverage spans thermal, settlement and seismic, letting partitions and shaft walls move with the structure instead of cracking with it. Matching ceiling profiles carry the same line overhead. These profiles belong in the drywall package, not as an afterthought - coordinate them at shop-drawing stage and the finishing trades never see the joint again.
