Introducing the Z-4050
seismic movement accommodation
the z-4050 accommodates ±50% of nominal joint width in multiple directions. the center plate, held by turn bars or steel centering bars at 500 mm on center, stays flush with the floor during thermal movement and returns to center after seismic displacement.
water protection
an optional water barrier membrane can be specified with the z-4050. it is draped into the gap and retained by the base frames, so no mechanical punctures pass through the membrane sheet. order it together with the system.
load bearing
a solid center plate in aluminum (5 mm or 8 mm) or stainless steel (5 mm to 6 mm) gives the z-4050 load capacities of 100 kn to 120 kn, depending on plate thickness, for heavy-traffic floors such as airports and hospitals.

Aesthetic Choice
Recessed aluminum frames only 25 mm high are bedded in elastomeric concrete or epoxy grout, so the solid center plate finishes flush with the surrounding floor. The plate is available in aluminum or brushed stainless steel, and the ZK-4050 variant closes the joint neatly against a wall for a clean, low-profile transition.
