Introducing the GENFLEX
movement accommodation
the factory-molded polychloroprene unit flexes with the movement across the joint: the 240 mm unit is drawn for a 35 mm nominal opening and the 430 mm unit for a 74 mm opening, without tearing, debonding or loss of anchorage.
water protection
rain runs off the continuous polychloroprene riding surface, and bolt-hole sealant closes each anchor pocket around the studs. steel plates are vulcanized into the rubber, and an optional 3 mm epdm flashing membrane beneath the unit adds a secondary watertight line.
load bearing
built for vehicular traffic on bridge decks, flyovers, car park ramps and podium decks, the genflex presents a continuous elastomeric riding surface level with the adjacent deck, with no exposed steel plates in the wheel path.
