Introducing the R-2003
The PROROOF Series R-2003 is a center bar seismic roof expansion joint cover for flat roofs, parapets and roof-to-wall conditions with joints from 50 mm to 250 mm. Continuous recessed aluminum frames carry an aluminum cover plate that steel centering bars, at 500 mm on center, hold centered over the joint. A continuous water barrier laps into the roof waterproofing, and the cover is 40 mm high in every size. The RK-2003 variant closes the joint against a parapet or wall.

the r2003 takes up thermal and structural movement (the movement for each size is in the profile specifications below) while the cover stays seated on both sides of the joint.

the r-2003 has a continuous water barrier that laps into the roof waterproofing on both sides of the joint, without punctures, forming the primary watertight line. the cover plate and epdm inserts above it form the secondary line, so the roof stays dry as the joint moves.

Aesthetic Choice
The R-2003 cover plate is aluminum, 2 mm thick (3 mm where scheduled), in mill finish as standard with clear anodizing optional. Sitting in recessed frames across joints of 50 to 250 mm, the 40 mm high cover gives roof joints a clean, continuous metal line.
Integrated Puncture-Free Water Barrier
A unique, puncture-free water barrier is integrated into the profile, ensuring watertight integrity while simplifying installation. The barrier is constructed from durable EPDM or TPV, with high tensile and puncture resistance, securing water protection over the system’s lifespan.
Optional Vapor Barrier
For added protection, an optional vapor barrier is available, constructed from either EPDM or TPV, which offers high tensile and tear resistance, ensuring long-term performance against moisture penetration
Recessed Frames and Cover Plate
Continuous recessed aluminum frames are anchored on each side of the joint, and the aluminum cover plate spans between them at a 40 mm profile height in every size. The RK-2003 variant uses the same frames, cover plate and water barrier to close the joint against a parapet or wall.
Galvanized Steel Turn-bar for Structural Stability
The turn-bar component reinforces stability, enabling the system to accommodate multi-directional movement while keeping the cover aligned and stable.
Noise Reduction
Integrated elastomeric rubber gaskets between the aluminum profiles to cancel out metal-to-metal noise, enhancing acoustic comfort. This feature minimizes noise when subjected to movement, delivering a quiet and efficient joint cover solution for various applications
